DC Startup Edbacker to Offer Educators Crowdfunding Training Workshop
Lab Series will Provide Innovative Funding Strategy for School Programs

Edbacker, a funding platform for all educators, announced the launch of their Edbacker Lab Series today, starting with the workshop, Crowdfund DC Schools. These workshops are designed to empower public, charter and private school educators to leverage the power of crowdfunding for their schools as well as engage their local communities in support of these efforts.
“A part of the Edbacker mission is to fully engage with local communities in support of educators’ needs,” said Gary Hensley, CEO of Edbacker. “The Edbacker Lab Series allows us to help train educators on how to use crowdfunding for the classroom while also getting area businesses and community members involved.”
The inaugural one-day workshop will be held at 1776, 1133 15th St. NW, 12th Floor, Washington, DC, 20005 campus on Thursday, October 24 from 5pm to 7:30pm (https://crowdfunddcschools.eventbrite.com). From videographers to PR professionals, educators will hear from leading experts and learn how to develop and implement a successful crowdfunding campaign. Edbacker, along with event partners, will support these campaigns by sharing and engaging with the DC community.
The workshop session will include:
